Corey Barrett took over a struggling Hickman County Girls program two years ago....the first year they won eight games in the regular season but with great post-season play made it to the sub-state game against Creekwood....this past season the Lady Dawgs posted 18 wins and finished tied for second behind Marshall County....had a few tournament struggles that ended their season during region play but made great strides nontheless.....gets the absolute most out of the talent that he has on the team.....

Corey has done a outstanding job at Hickman County. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Some of you guys need to wake up and smell the Roses! Some of the Coaches you mentioned posted only 3 or 4 wins and others 7 and 8 wins. When you think of Girls Basketball programs. Columbia Academy and Culleoka and Huntland are not programs that come to mind. Their coaches might be a breath of fresh air to your programs, but actually turning them into contenders.....Don't think so

i think you have missed the point......the topic is "best young head coaches"......just because a coach goes through a down year or inherits a team that requires a year or two of building certainly does not disqualify them from being good coaches......as important as wins are, there are more pieces to the success puzzle than just that
