Indian
Your comment wasn't too awfully bad but it would keep going with the responses, get worse and worse and eventually the topic would have to be closed. It should be open to recognize all these great athletes, whether winners or runner-ups.
enall
where can you find the all tournament team for single A? All tournament teams are found in the box score of the final game. Class A can be found at http://tssaa.org/2008Champions/StateGBaske...ClassA/box7.htm
BlitzingBuc
Laken won in class A??...i surely thought Kayla wouldve got it, she had the better year by far i thought and plus her team actually made it to State. I don't have a dog in this race, and know virtually nothing about either girl, so take what I'm about to say as being from someone who knows how the system works. In order to even be considered, a coach or parent has to neraly hire a PR firm to "push" their respected player's name - through the media, AAU coaches, as well as many others. Now, the best player still may be fortunate enough to win it all on her own merits, but that doesn't always happen. Sometimes the best player doesn't even make it to the final three being considered because her name isn't promoted the way other girls' names are. That's sad, but unfortunately it's how the system works. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> And just to be clear about the selection in Class A, I have no idea who was the best. Couldn't have said it any better! Just one more thing, Ms Basketball is selected BEFORE the DISTRICT tournaments start. This is at the end of the regular season. lightning II
Laken won in class A??...i surely thought Kayla wouldve got it, she had the better year by far i thought and plus her team actually made it to State. Making it to state has nothing to do with it. Based on season not tournament play. They vote before tourny starts.
lightning II
Kayla Christopher is the best player in Class A regardless of who won the Class A Miss Basketball Award... YOU PEOPLE --if she were the best she would have won it.
catback
I was hoping it would be Kayla in Class A but congrats to Laken. Goose, You and I know that an East Tennessee player in any sport, is behind the eight ball in regards to any award from the TSSAA. Congrats to Laken.
