Come on Trader show my boys at Southwind some love! Hopefully Jonathon Williams 6'7 Center from the middle school will attend Southwind and grow up quickly! I do believe MArdracus could be coming back next year though.

You're right, JodyJoe.

In all fairness, I should have (at least), pointed out Southwind's POSITIVE attributes: /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

-------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Southwind has some excellent shooters.

2) They play good team ball, and have excellent team quickness

4) Tenacious, scrappy, hard-working and very determined....

5) Heck, I think they return EVERYBODY off this year's team!!??

6) With the addition of a post-game, Southwind would easily be considered a legitimate CONTENDER...

YEa no problem. I was pulling for Bolivar big time. I even sat with a few relatives from Bolivar and they were devastated. Bolivar missed a few free throws and two open lay-ups down the stretch that would have put the game away. However they had no answer for Steele in the second half shooting over the smaller Bolivar guards. Anyway I got RE in a double digit win or White Station in a close game. If it's close Joe will not let them lose

HAHA man it looks like I called this one right on, WS has been in close games all year long...CONGRATS to all teams

Great game from an observer who just came to watch. Joe Jackson is a special player. But I was so turned off by the Raleigh fans. They booed the White Station team accepting their trophy and their coach. They were disrespective to those kids who played their hearts out. Maybe there is some bad blood between the schools I don't know about, but these are kids and NEVER should we boo them especially after their accomplishment. Both teams played hard and deserved to be cheered. Congrats White Station and Raleigh Egypt. Shame on you fans!

Just so you'll know, it's the biggest rivalry in the city

Umm, since you just an OBSERVER I'm going to let you off the hook. White Station once again didn't deserve another big win! It never seems to fail anytime they get together in a BIG GAME the refs swing their way ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY PLAY THE RALEIGH-EGYPT!!!!!! Of course there is bad blood between us with so many wins stolen away from us the absolutely terrible officiating.

Yeah, it has been every since January 2000 in the double OT thriller at Raleigh-Egypt when our Pharaohs won 96-90. That was probably still the best game in the series. Scooter had a great game, Herbert "Moo Moo" Evans had an emphatic slam over Kyle Buggs, and we survived 41 big points from Earnest Shelton.

Uhhh, RE vs White Station MIGHT be 2nd biggest rivalry, at best.

THE biggest rivalry easliy belongs to..... Ridgeway vs White Station, hands down!!

Ridgeway and White Station is a great rivalry but it is definitely not the Pharaohs Vs. the Spartans!!!!

    • I used to think like that many many moons ago.  I wondered the same questions but learned that it is just not that easy.  Hiring assistant coaches can be complicated at times.  It takes a few years for HC’s to get who they feel is right for their system.  Couple that with good assistant coaches getting better jobs at times and leaving your program. More to it than some think.  I think you have a good coach up there and time will tell that story.
    • okay.  Like i said initially, it's question we have to ask, but we sure don't know the answer yet.
    • You’re right, I shouldn’t jump the gun on it. Hopefully it isn’t related to the sports programs, because it’ll end up affecting a lot of innocent kids who just enjoy playing sports.
    • I totally agree but just don’t want to see people jumping the gun by insinuating it was for athletic reasons. Nobody knows at the moment except for those involved in the incident itself and those investigating.
    • Bruh, That portion of the post was simply a product of my imagination. Try to keep up.  The real purpose of the post was to rub salt in this fresh wound following FF’s departure to BGA.
