Lions4ever
Verry Strong District. Who are the top players on all teams. Even though they had to work through some 1st tourney of the season jitters, Camden looked strong this weekend in the MTSCA tourney. Went undefeated until the championship when they lost to Riverdale 3-0. Led by seniors Brittany Dillion, Noelle Henry, Alex Hastings, Lesley Medlin, Cumberland signee CaSarah Gilliam, and UT signee Morgan Fowler, the Lady Lions look to have another strong season with many more strong seasons to follow. LionPride
Yes, very proud of these girls. They haven't play very many games before this weekend due to the weather. These girls stepped up and did their jobs. Again, proud of the Lady Lions!

Camden Lexington McNairy, South Side, Chester and Bolivar will be a fight to the end.
TOUCHTHEPLATE
Verry Strong District. Who are the top players on all teams. This district is like most districts in Tn. has a couple of teams that have separated from the rest of the pack & the rest are fighting for the bottom. So I don't agree that this is a strong district but a "typical" district, but does have 2-3 good teams. This district could very easily play out like this- #1 Camden- Great pitching, good players on Defense & at the plate, is well coached(could be the difference) #2 Lexington- Great pitcher has good players but for what ever reason they aren't all on the field at the same time. doesn't seem like the coach has figured out that that you play games in an attempt to win them.(could be the difference) #3 McNairy- Great pitcher will keep them in many games but defense has week spots. Offense must improve at the plate & hit good pitching in order for them to think about a district title. #4 Chester- Pitching has potential to keep them out of the bottom & maybe more! The offense will need to show up give some support. #5 Bolivar & Southside- This pick is a toss up not alot of offense & we will see how the pitching for both holds thru the season. To summarize #1 & #2 could flip flop if Lexington actually figures out the game. #2 could flip flop if McNairy finds its bat at the plate. #3 could flip flop if McNairy doesn't find their bat or losses their pitcher. But in the end I still believe Camden comes out on top. But come May we will all know & for now this is just speculation. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

TOUCHTHEPLATE
Camden won both games of double header against McNairy last night 4-1 and 5-2 What happened in the losses with region opponents Milan & Westview? I had Camden picked to win those games!
Lions4ever
What happened in the losses with region opponents Milan & Westview? I had Camden picked to win those games! Milan and Westview aren't in our region...we are region 6 with middle TN. Still working out the bugs (errors) and shifting players, pitchers and catchers around. Camden actually has a very good problem...alot of talent to spread all over the field. Just gotta figure out the best combinations and non-district/region games will be when that happens. Duh.......... new Camden wasn't in the same region but figured it was something along those lines or JV scores. Who pitched in the games for Camden? /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

South Side Over Chester. Co. Looks like a balanced district.

Good teams take advantage of big mistakes and that's what Lexington did to Camden. Looks like it should be an interesting district tourney. Looks like it should be an interesting district tourney. My understanding was that a Lexington player took a pitch that was left over the plate & went yard for a 3 run homer. Is that one of the big mistakes you are referring to? /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
