tnrunner1238
The Great 8 seems to be looking stacked this year, especially in the 800m and 1600m. In the 800m, 7 out of the 8 guys are under 2:00, so it should be a very fun race to watch. The 1600m is also extremely deep. I don't know if I've ever seen the great 8 so deep in the distances, and can't wait to watch this meet. Any predictions that want to be put out there before the races begin??? SCHSBIGGESTSECRET
Rainey will take the mile but he will be pushed by mahaney the whole way. In the 800 I actually predict mahaney to win. He has the slower time but has only ran against sub 200 competition once this year, where he beat garret Carmichael the number one seed. It will be a very close race to watch. And the two mile i believe is an obvious choice without mahaney in it, and that would be jeff musnick

ebbybm
The 100m and 200m will be hot. In the 100m look for a race between Joseph Short (Hunters Lane) and D'Angelo Gray (Stratford). Giving them heat will be Jaz Davis (Hunter's Lane), Prince Iworah (Father Ryan), Derek King (Brentwood Acadmey) and Ben Cunningham (Goodpasture). In the 200m, look for the same with J. Short, D. Gray, J. Davis, and R. Darden (Hunters Lane). For the ladies, unless Quanisha Sales (Hillsboro) vanishes, or something, give her the crown in the 100m and 200m. But little Jordan Lavender from University School of Nashville will make it interesting.
rldtf124
What about the 400?????
ebbybm
In the 400m. look out for Joseph Short and Rodney Darden from Hunter's Lane. They have run 49.52 and 49.64 this season. For the girls, sophomore Jordan Lavender (USN), Sara Stephens (Dickson Cty) and Kirsten Jones from MLK should make it interesting.
SCHSBIGGESTSECRET
When did mahaney beat carmichael in the 800? He beat him at the governors classic at austinpeay. And as i predicted he beat him in the eight, and so did the kid from mt.juliet, and if I correctly remember so did one other runner. Also It was disappointing to see jake rainey have to drop. Unofficial word was that he was down with some sort of sickness. The mile would have been crazy between him and mahaney. And congrats to music in the two mile. He beasted running a 4:57 first mile and the running a negative split by ten with a follow up mile of 4:47. Kids beast. The hurdle times in the 300 all seemed sort of slow(for the times posted), but word was 4 of the top 5 were running banged up. the 100 was Cunningham all the way. And what was up with that crazy fast girl in the 100 hurdles.

Matt is a great runner who has broken 2 once. Matt raced both the races where you thought you saw GC.
