Lavergne Discus

Lafonzo Betts broke the Lavergne School record last week at the District meet. The record was 139'0 and he threw 143'10. Also, that mark puts him in the Great Eight meet today qualifying 5th. He??™s showing great improvement and seems to be peaking at the right time. (Jr) Deon McAdoo came in third at the District meet with a 131??™4 and is an alternate in the great eight meet.

 

Also A big "At a girl" goes out to Ciarra Britt winning the district meet and throwing a PR of 109'11. That also qualifies her (#6) in the great eight meet. She too has shown improvemet throughout the year and is getting good marks here late in the year.

 

Pretty good showing for Lavergne in the discus in the great eight meet this year.

Congrats go out to the Lavergne Discus throwers. They had 2 boys make it to the state meet next Friday. Deon Mcadoo palce 2nd and Lafonzo Betts placed 4th. Great year and hope they get PRs in the state meet.
