wingman10
There will be a story giving background info on the coaching staff in this week's Grundy County Herald. Grundy will scrimmage Moore County Friday at the old high school in Tracy City at 6:00. The quarterback club will begin selling BBQ plates at 4:00. They will scrimmage at Whitwell the next Friday. DL. Thanks...where is teh Whitwell scrimmage?
bigmoney128
Things most be looking good on the mountain. Rumor has it the boys at Grundy had a 3 week dead period. So when every other team in the state is hitting it hard the first chance they get after dead period, most of the Grundy coaches went to Disney. Confidence on the mountain must be high or this extremly young staff can't enough of Mickey and friends. Other questions still have not been answered. Who are the coaches? Is Bryant calling both sides of the ball? Has anyone on this staff ever called a play before on D or O. What are the expectations for this season better or worse than last year? Well thats just GOOFY!!!!!!!!!

Opie
It will be interesting to see what kind of adjustments this staff will be able to make during games and from week to week. How patient will the Grundy folk be with a staff that will be learning on the job? How will success be measured this year? Has Grundy's schedule been posted yet? DelTavian
word is a kid from whitwell is looking at a job out there.... Looking for a job where...at Grundy? Did you not read the story? Nick's staff is set. He did not tell me he was looking for anyone else and with 8 coaches and our budget I'm quite sure there's no more paid jobs....unless the guy you're talking about has found an open teaching slot. And then he better be looking only for a small suppliment from the quarterback club. The Junior Jackets coaches aren't getting paid at all. The whopping $600 suppliment for the head coach (which he was going to use to buy the coaches shirts, shoes and hats) has been cut out. Those guys had to pay for their own background checks. They might have been reimbursed since then but I've not got confirmation of that. So I'd tell the "kid from Whitwell" to not expect a big check if they get involved. Plus with 8 guys already and all areas assigned what are they going to coach? DL.

Fri Sep. 25 at Stone Memorial Fri Oct. 2 Chattanooga Christian D Fri Oct. 9 at Midway Fri Oct. 16 at Bledsoe Co. D Fri Oct. 23 Grace Baptist Academy Fri Oct. 30 Notre Dame D The really good news about this is after the week 1 and week 4 games the football account ought to have plenty of money in it. I almost wish those games were split where we played at one and hosted the other each year. Would balance the money better. Next year's Sequatchie and Bledsoe crowds will help but Bledsoe's wont be as big as Marion's or South Pittsburg's. Have no idea if anything else on the schedule will bring a crowd or not. DL.
