New IMAC

Any thoughts on this league. Looks totally different with Greeneville out and Sevier County, Seymour, and South-Doyle in. I know Morristown West is the obvious favorite, but what about everybody else?

Sevier County returns one starter. Probably graduated 90% of their scoring and rebounding. Three expected contributors are coming off season ending ACL tears. If they finish in the top 6 it will be a great story.

The IMAC is amazing. They have a cast of Thousands and now with a few extra schools, they will try a "Coach T Record of records(unless someone gets rambunctous and gets the site closed down). We'll taake a riun at'em Good luck and don't get tooo far ahead.

Its MoWest then the rest. It will be a fight for 2nd with Cocke County and Seymour. MoEast will surprise some people b/c of their coach-she has them working hard and believing in themselves unlike w/the last coach who could give a darn and it showed w/the players in their lack of discipline. Then Jeff County who could be good if they had better leadership. They need a healthy Kyle. Sevier County , Cherokee, and S.Doyle round it out.

Morristown West is clearly the favorite. They have a legit shot at going undefeated in the district. 10-4 or 9-5 might get someone second. The fight for 2-6 should be really interesting.

I haven't seen everybody play, but here is what I think:

 

The returnees

Morristown West - obvious favorite, state title contender

Cocke County - great size, ranked most of last year and many key players back

Jeff County - good talent, very good point guard, can make some noise

Morristown East - good post player, new coach is very good, could be a surprise

Cherokee - post play is very good, guards are young

 

The newcomers

Seymour - won region and made it to substate last year in AA, outstanding guards, can they play with the bigger schools?

Sevier County - could be good if they were healthy, lot of injuries over the past year

South-Doyle - not a lot there

See yiou are back PCSportswriter with all of the gang and the New IMAC. We enjoyed watching you last year and like you 7AAA has trimmed down a little. Gotten some better but leaner, faster and quicker. Good Luck in the preseason and we'll catch up with you the first of the season.

MO West will win the conference. They are just simply better than anybody else. They have players with more speed, skill, and athleticism that the rest. Cocke County will come in 2nd and probably hang with West in at least one game. They get Buda and Depew back for one more season with a solid surrounding cast. Seymour and Jeff will probably round out the top 4.

1.West should dominate but I see them with at least 2 losses in conference.

Fanney,Hall,Smith,Goins,Jones strong 1,2,3,4,5 punch

2.Cocke is equally impressive ( by the way prayers were answered for Depews knee, glad she is okay)

Buda, Depew, Pruitt, plus Ally's size = a packed combo

3.East playing with new found vigor

Orrick,Hale,Blaylock,Hensley should have the size advantage

4/5. guard play should be the difference between Seymour and Jefferson

Casey is a true competitor with Seymour add in Brown and they will put some points on the board and they have a couple more players that will contribute/ Jefferson has Nelson who will always make a difference plus Mcwilliams and Trentham and hopefully Kyle will be healed up and back to form.

6. Sevier will always come to play but I think they lost too many key players for this season.

7. Ryans and Price but not sure who they have left.

8. know nothing about South Doyle other than a true friend and room-mate at college graduated from there

well i wonder if its true since somebody wants to delete the post has cocke county coach resigned as i said before my nephew who lives in newport said a senior player told him the coach has quit if anybody knows post before someone deletes
