I say Brentwood 28 Indy 6. Last week Brentwood shut down for the most part one of the top 10 running games in the state in symrna and and also shut down the passing game with three of their starters injured they get two of them back this week. I say indy wont get one touchdown unless its a misque from the offense. The only reasons the defense let lavergne score 20 on them was from two scrambles out of the pocket and shot up hail marys and hoped for the best and the other touchdown wasnt even on the defense it was a interception return for the touchdown. I do say though that if indys defense plays like they did on friday night in the first have the whole game it will be alot closer, but i still say Brentwood will pull it out.

Indy might hang around for a little while in this one, but don't count on it. I was very doubtful about last weeks game, until the halftime bell struck. :roflolk: Indy was making McDufus pay for all his cute play, but then Oakland made up for it in the second half. The picture in the Saturday Tennessean told the story. I would hate to be the kid on the other end of that stiff arm.

My prediction is that Brentwood won't worry about the tricks and just beat the tar out of Indy. Coffey should change his name to Buttah, cause he's on a roll.

B-wood - 28

Indy - 10

McDufus? Let me ask you a question? Who has the gold ball? Oakland tries to spread the field so teams wont try to focus bewteen the tackles, alot of the times it works, it was just the execution was a little off.

The gold ball? Don't even bring up last year in here. It makes no difference. INDY went to state in 08' and didn't do a whole lot last year. I would be extremely surprised if you get to keep it, hence the beating you all received from Ensworth.

I wouldn't say Oakland was on the receiving end of a beating at all against Ensworth. It was an overtime game, what type of overtime game is ever considered a "beating"? And Oakland was running through Ensworth, and controlling both sides of the line of scrimmage. They lost on a play when they decided to get cute and put the ball up in the air. In fact, Oakland struggled against IHS when they decided to put the ball in the air. It is beyond my understanding why a team like Oakland put the ball up in the air more than 5 times a game. But I am getting away from the point... Oakland is a dominating team between the tackles (on both sides), and is one of the most well-conditioned teams in the state. They can last 4 quarters against anyone, the 4th quarter is their world.

But this game has serious play-off implications. especially how HHS & RHS are performing right now. This district could very well be decided in three games.

1) Brentwood vs Independence

2) Independence vs Franklin

3) Franklin vs Brentwood

This weekend could end up being the district championship game, with the inconsistensy FHS has been showing

Yes, McDufus. I like Wilcoisthebest's style. Don't get me wrong, I love the gun and slinging it around, but there is nothing more demoralizing than cramming it down someone's throat and they look like they have roller skates on. And then, just when the D starts cramming the roller derby into the box, you pop them with a pass. Seems to me that McDufus (as he will now and forever be dubbed) learned his lesson and went back to what momma knows best in the second half against Indy. Run game

    • As I said somewhere earlier in the thread, the original plans had no outdoor athletic facilities being part of the campus.  The original plan was for HVA to use facilities at nearby schools.  Very late in the process they came up with a plan and found budget to have minimal facilities and crammed them in to space that never was intended for athletic facilities.
    • Agreed, the way the field is turned you get the evening sun blasting right into the press box making filming a nightmare there, plus its so low.  The field is land locked and parking is a nightmare too. Seems like Knox County could have done a lot better there with the design and the quality.
    • I think this upcoming team may be pretty good, they will definately be better up front and if they can replace Dozier, Heyward and Rembert, they can be real good. They have the same strange schedule, but this time with 5 straight home games. The road games at Jeff County, Powell will be tough to open up with and the back side at Bearden is the tough game there.  One question I had if anyone knows: There has been some talk of an indoor practice facility in the past, with the new track area now more of a track area, that kind of leaves a need for a football practice area. Just sayin....
    • I find it hard to believe that 70% of a schools enrollment is zoned for another school district
    • I was told that the indoor facility is happening regardless of the vote on the taxes but it would be a much bigger project with more funds if they vote goes through
