I predict this is going to be one wet and sloppy ball game. Whoever can control turnovers wins this game. I think both teams will most likely keep it on the ground. Battle in the trenches again tonight.

This is a rivalry game to Coalfield. Not so much to Oliver Springs.

 

 

As stated before, OS has something like a 70-8 record all time against Morgan County teams.

 

OS to Coalfield in football is like:

Ohio State to Ohio University

 

 

 

 

It's expected Oliver Springs should beat Coalfield.

 

 

OS rivalry games are more with harriman, kingston, rockwood, and sometimes Wartburg.

I think what has always made this a big game is the fact the two schools are a short distance from each other, and just as the case last night, alot of the boys from both teams grew up playing youth football together.

Coalfield not been good for the past 3 or 4 years. And I dont see them being that good this year either but all they had to do is beat Sunbright or Oakdale and they make playoffs so they are in. But the days of Coalfield being on top in football all long gone.

Took the words right out of my mouth. This is the same person who said that the only player Coalfield had last year was #14. No doubt the best player on that team, but i also believe she said something about the bad QB play from last year. And Coalfield beat OS 26-0 behind 3 touchdown passes. So, lets just say that catmommy maybe should stick to commenting about girls basketball!! But she may not do that much this year since Kayla Christopher is gone!! HMMM....

If you could keep that one player from your team that is known for cheap hits and running his mouth, from acting that way, then there would be no need for the officiating crew to be notified. The thing is, they we're already aware of his type of behavior. What a joke!

Yea, your right, the refs accounted for 46 of OZs points (the winning margin). You need to address the real problem, one that Coach Kries would have never allowed!

I've seen many cases of fans complaining about the refs winning a game for a team in a close game, but not in a blowout. It was 48 to 2. Could there really have been that many questionable calls to allow OS to score 48 points and to hold Coalfield to 2. Please. Quit whining.
