Well the JC Press has built up the game...or the fact that it is the last game at Memorial Stadium? I think from the amount of press and it being DB vs SH....I am going against something I said earlier in the week and I'd say there will be a jam packed crowd tonight.

As for the game...I will stay what I said at the beginning of the week. SH will come out strong and try to make something happen, but DB will be DB and win this game out by at least 21.

Good luck to both the teams tonight, drive safe....woot

Im going against the grain on this one. I don't think DB has enough players interested in winning. And the play calling continues to play keep away from Steele. I think Science Hill wins in a close one, saving Smith's job for another 5 years.

I hope we have enough "Key" players that are not hurt, and want to win the game.I know for a fact that some of the players and their parents could care less about winning this or any other game and I will go against the grain and agree" in part " on that fact.I believe however that the vast majority of the team does want to win and those that have busted it for months have to come forward and be leaders.I want to come away with a victory and hope Smith's job is safe for another five years anyway. :thumb:

Hopfully that very small group of players that don't care will be gone after this year along with their parents. Its a cancer that has no place on any football team. And yes it would be nice to win this game and have Smith coaching for another 5 years anyway. That would be icing on the cake. :thumb:

I wonder if little Johnny learns anything while his teacher is posting on CoachT @ work? Tenure must be a wonderful thing, huh?

Yoga teachers only get tenure in Heaven, you fool. Looks like you need a little vinyasa lesson from your favorite SRI OM.

....

I got a buddy who said his kid was in your class... he must be limber taking all that Yoga everyday, huh.

Historic game. Never before have the 2 teams had so many loses when playing each other. Funny, just a few years ago DB faithful thought it was a joke for a 5 and 5 team to be playing in the playoffs. Not so now. No matter the outcome, DB faithful need to do their math no winning season this year. DB wins this one thanks to CS. Hopefully he will not reaggrevate that groin. If he does, DB needs to get on the bus FAST! Clark should have been trying to groom another QB weeks ago. This season was history weeks ago after his play calling. The best thing he could do the next 3 games is get PT for next year, BUT that has never been something Clark has been smart enough to do. This will be an ugly game, just like last week against DC. That looked like the first week, penalties, turnovers... Eastman must have spilt some strong chemicals in the water in '92 & '93, these guys couldnt beat any team from past years. Clark needs to send a cake to TSSAA for putting the beast of the East in such an easy conference with smaller schools. Thank goodness for Central and Volunteer.

    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
    • Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
    • I am pro coach all day long but there are some knucklehead hires for sure.
    • This is a great question. The retirement seemed a little premature. I do not know the coach personally, but I hope he has found what he is looking for. He is a fine Christian man with a lot of principle and morals about him. I wish him nothing but the best. There are some players in the box for the next coach. This is going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
