At the risk of being called a lurker(infrequent postings), or ignorant (low total # of posts), let me say that Alcoa got the root here. Do you realize that if Elizabethton wins out, we may actually have to travel for the semi-final game (assumming Alcoa wins out). Only the existence of the Ridgeway BBQ helps mitigate this injustice.

I believe the brackets could have been laid out better to get the best 4 teams in the state into semis. Bracket one has the number 1 and 3 team in the state in it. To be the best you have to beat the best but, I believe the best shouldnt play until the semis. There could have been a few tweeks here and there that would have made all the brackets better for everyone and better games later on.

honestly...you finished 4TH in your district....no matter what class your division foes were in. Milan beat Crockett Co and Westview...both 4A schools in their division. So class has NOTHING to do with it. The better teams won. The only way to not get "stiffed" as all you people say is be 1st!

 

So now quitcherbitchin' and go play football!!!

 

 

But for those of you STILL upset come Friday night, there'll be a nice platter of Cheese at Johnnie Hale for you. So stop by and get some to go along with your WHINE!!!

I admire the CAK fans for not coming on here complaining about the hand they were dealt. Assuming both CAK & Alcoa win their first round games, here we'll be meeting again in the 2nd round, #1 against #5. Doesn't make a lot of sense, but watcha gonna do?

It is annoying how teams with loosing records get into the playoffs while other teams who are worthy have to sit out. Also how teams in higher divisions but in the same region, virtually have to worry about one or two games and the rest of the season is all fun and games. I thought the goal of the T$$AA's regrouping of the playoff system was to make it better, fair, and eliminate these issues? Huh??

The only mistake in that post was the Westview comment, which was meant to read Dyersburg, so my bad. However the 4A schools Milan played ALSO ranked.

 

My point is.....everyone needs to just get over it. We knew LAST year that we were going to have to deal with the Z-Plan, that it was crappy, is crappy and still will be crappy but it's the hand that has been dealt.

 

Does it suck that you have to travel 2.5 hours next Friday night??? Yep....but there are HUNDREDS of other teams in the state, and guys that DIDN'T get in the playoffs that would GLADLY drive 10 fricken hour and not fricken complain just to play this Friday night!

 

SO BE HAPPY YOU'RE PLAYING! If you wanna whine, keep your happy @$$ at home and let someone else play the darn game!!!
