I heard the school board tried to get it passed that the AD could negotiate with coaches and pay them more based on their credentials but one board member shot the idea down. That's why we are looking for someone to come in at our pitiful pay scale.

 

Not surprising! Get a good AD, but have to put up with the same old crap!

Any idea as to which board member it was? Really getting tired of them telling everyone they want to help but then tying the AD's hands.

The way I understand it is the coaches supplements are negotiated with the teachers' salaries thru the union, and what they wanted to do was take the supplements out of the union hands and put them in either the board or AD's hands.

Parents .... no matter what he does someones kids parent is always disgruntle.....I know you stand down in the corner of the field but you should hear some of the wisdom that gets shouted to the sideline from our stands ...

 

the facilities are a joke really ... avery trave middle school has a weight room 3 times the size of ours... the old lockeroom hasnt seen a renovation in years .....Heat Rain cancels practice, with the new BB coahes theres no going to the gym...

 

The new coach will have alot on his plate winning games will take care of alot of his trouble but if he jumps out to a 0-3 start Hes gonna be in trouble

Aren't most facility upgrades handled by athletic dept/booster club initiatives instead of the schools paying for them? Have we had anybody try to get a facility upgrade fundraising drive going? If not then it'll never get done and we'll just sit around complaining that we don't have any facilities.

I do not stand down in the corner of the field until the end of the game so I can have the players gatorade ready for them. I'm usually sitting with family and friends or pacing around up top. Can't help it! Our facilities aren't the best, nor are they the worst. I think it would be great to have a field house, but since we don't, the BB coaches should be made to let the boys use the gym. The new coach will not go 0-3, you can count on it!

Thats not the case I HOPE and Pray that The new coach is successful ,My son will be with him 4 years so if hes a bust ill get to see every bit of it and if hes great he should reap the rewards of being a Coached by a great coach.

 

I hope next years team goes undefeated and are crowned state champs,do I think they will just by changing coaching staffs .Its gonna take lots of hard work and everyone looking to achieve that goal.
