Well...Ryan should be ready and well practiced for the season, since they clearly have so few athletes playing football this year. Sorry...cheap shot!

 

Seriously, I think Ryan will be very good again this year. They were pretty deep last season, and IMO, have one of the absolute best coaches around. They'll be very tough.

This is Brent Carney: Just so nobody thinks the wrong thing--i'm not getting recruited DI, i've only been contacted by a handful of DII and DIII schools and nothing serious at that..

 

This season should be good for our team though, last year will be pretty tough to match, but we'll give it our best try.

Anyone else ever notice that when the really good athletes get on these boards they seldom trash talk or boast? Good on ya, Brent!!

wolf, i think that father ryan will have a solid team this year but they don't have too many exceptional athletes and you were way over exagerating when you said five seniors were getting d-1 attention. maybe one or two at the most was even being looked at by d-1 schools.

I've always been a big fan of Coach Bontrager and the Ryan program..They are what class athletes are all about. Thanks for you Carney for getting on here and clearing everything up.

father ryan also had some really good juniors stepping up to the plate this year, I heard. It will be interesting to see if they can collect another championship. Bontrager, I believe is one of the best coaches in high school basketball.
