Helping Betsy out a bit. GHS handled Brainerd fairly easily. Betsy is the only team to shut down the Devil Offense and Brainerd beat AE 3 TDs to 1. they need to be more honest about their own schedule. Just look at their schedule on the T, nice, but not impressive. :popcorneater:

Austin-East lost to Catholic who lost to Heritage who lost to Seymour who lost to CAK who barely beat Elizabethton by 1 point. What relevance does this have to do with Friday's Austin-East/Elizabethton game? About the same level of relevance as Austin-East losing to Brainard who lost to Greeneville who lost to Elizabethton. IMO, Austin-East has played better teams than Elizabethton, and Austin-East has beaten better teams than Elizabethton.

Tell me what makes Elizabethton so good?

Well what makes Elizabethton so good is that they can outscore just about anyone. In their last three games they have put up 138 points and given up 26 points. While in the mean time Austin-East has put up 115 points and given up 28. Both offenses are explosive, but i give the edge to to Cyclones. Their secondary hasn't given up a huge pass play yet this year. If your try to run the ball up the middle, Cody Anderson and Austin Nanney will have somethin to say about that. I dont think Austin East can put up 50 points during this game. So Alcoa, pack your bags, your coming to E-Town

Elizabethton-28

Austin-East-14.

shout out to my boy seth, YOUR MOM IS A WHORE! :roflol:

A scrimmage makes no difference. Please do not compare EHS to South or anyone else. Just let them be who they are. This game is a toss up and I have no idea who will win. Like most close games turnovers will be the key. Boy aren't I smart :popcorneater:

Sometimes it does, when you are talking about a high caliber team. South gave Betsy props earlier this year. Wow, just trying to help you out dude. I was trying to lend towards Betsy's athletic ability and speed. Typically when you are talking speed, NET isn't the first part of the state people think of (with the exception of a couple of the track athetes). Elizabethton is an exception to this stereotype this year. Since you don't like the scrimmage and South example, I apolgize for not being able to use an actual Betsy vs South GAME, but the Rebs had to find someone else to schedule in the EHS void - Gate City (they were weak) instead. So sorry for giving your team a little credit.

First off its Elizabethton people talking! And ever thing anyone said is either fact or opinion for both teams, which I think is great! Or would you rather us Elizabethton people just say "oh God we have to play Austin East there going kill us" not happening! You believe in AE and we believe in our Cyclones and no matter what anyone says on here those young men will decide it face to face Friday night on the gridiron the way it should be,Either way be proud of both teams to get this far because alot of teams are at home wishing! I hope its a great game with no injuries and a huge crowd!

Go CYCLONES!!!!!

Well Said!!!!

Etown has stuggle in recent years but I played with Coach Witten when Etown was a power house and we did play up! Every school we played was much bigger but we always came to play!!! Until the fourth round when we always hit Maryville. Coach Witten knows what it takes in the playoffs and he knows that any team left will be good!! AE is good but I know the CYCLONES will be ready and playing at home will be the difference!!!

Great Job to both teams this year!

GO CYCLONES!

It feels good to be talking about betsy in the quarterfinales because it hasn't happened in awhile . I think it will be a common occurrence for years to come . GO BETSY

    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
