I appreciate all of the fans from other teams we saw on our side last night: Tn High, Unaka, Hampton, Happy Valley (I know I'm forgetting someone...sorry).

Honestly, a little disappointed in EHS' band. They sure weren't very loud for as many members as they have. Heck, our little pep band sounded as loud as EHS did.

My pick for the best band we've seen: Kingston. About as many members as EHS, but man are they loud and GOOD!!!

Question: I thought TSSAA banned fireworks from being set off? I'm assuming EHS got special permission.

Also, while I liked the prayer before the game, better watch it...the ACLU is already in your backyard for another school doing that.

THOSE OBNOXIOUS HORNS HAVE GOT TO GO. (you know who I'm talking about)

Thank you tornadogold. Alcoa's band is growing and improving year over year. They will appreciate your recognition. YES, the small group (about 2/5 of the entire band) made some noise last night! Especially considering they got pounded by the football when we had to kick all those extra points!!

Forgot to mention that holding up the sign WHILE A PLAY WAS IN PROGRESS left many of us unable to see our Tornadoes AND the "paper parade" gets tiresome.

Well great job ALCOA. Now to Betsy. First hand you got to see what Blount County football is all about. This was no fluke. The fluke was your 1's scoreing on our 2's. Our 2's punch it in on your 1's. The way I see it Betsy was about the 5th best team we have played this year. Weak district. To get better you haft to play better teams. All these coachs in TN. need to understand this. We have a hard time making a schedule. Nobody want's to play us. Like our 2- 6A teams in BLOUNT COUNTY. They just don't understand. Betsy fans watch the milan thread this week. They know whats headed there way. They want run there mouth like you guys. This was a learning session for your area. Use it. We will be back here again next year. Hope you guys get a trip to BLOUNT COUNTY.71563e0d-ebb6-4f57-a260-8690b612d29.jpg

About the fireworks they are at a house near the school. The TSSAA cannot do anything about them because it is on private property. I am sure the TSSAA would try to get a penny out of the fireworks if they could :thumb:

I figured they were. Trust me, if my house was close enough to Alcoa High School, I would shoot off some "works" myself! I think it is great to see the E-town fans supporting their team in that way.

I am really looking forward to Ivan Sanders article for this game.....want to see how it looked "from this reporter's view."

I saw him cheering the band on at halftime, even though they were not on the field.Cheerleader.gif

I told you guys the Nation Anthem at Betsy was an awesome sight! Thanks for that.

TG: You would not have such an attitude today if you would have stayed at Ridgewood :thumb: ....It takes away ALL your problems, for a little while anyway! :thumb:

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
