MrDonkey
I sent your posted info. to the McAfee web site to report it. They came back that this type of virus/malware is mostly commonly found on "ADULT" or"XXX" sights. Some Coach-t users may need to re-think thier surfing habits. ssssssss
if you're worried about malware etc. you better get off the web altogether Einstein pretty much every site has it and if they don't your browser will make its own
Lost Old Dad
This type of malware is why I have the protection I do have as it caught it and told me about it WITHOUT attaching itself to my puter. My objective was just to warn folks it was here and their puters were subject to it so they could take action to prevent their puters going down because of it. ssssssss, I do not care where it came from, but I do NOT want it. CoachT
Found it and disabled it. The company that was serving the ad had already stopped it, anyway. That company is one of the tops in the country yet this got through. Everyone should have good virus software (I use the free Avira AntiVir Personal) and a spyware/malware detector (I use Spybot Search and Destroy). I also found that Google Chrome browser was the first, for me, to detect the only problem I have had, many months ago. I use it almost exclusively when on the message boards. The holiday season seems to bring a lot more of these kinds of threats. Thanks for the heads up on this, LOD. What detected it for you? Lost Old Dad
The free Avast software. Blanked out the whole screen with the alert so even I could not miss it.
