You may very well be correct on both statements. I wish Elrod would stick around for at least a little while longer. He is good for the game and the kids. As far as Armstrong staying I bet you are probably right and I would agree that he is a big reason for Maplewood's success.

I dont think anyone knows for sure but there is a lot of speculation. Thompson has tried to get out of metro before and he did apply supposedly for the La Vergne job last time when Hester got it. It would make sense. Thompson did apply again and rumor has it that a minority coach from metro is the next head coach. It certainly narrows the list down.

Wow. The kids deserve better. I wonder if Tory Patterson put his name in? He was a monster coach at SMS and worked as linebacker coach at LHS the last two years. This guy definitely deserves a shot somewhere to show what he can do at the high school level. Smyrna wouldn't have back to back state championships without this guy.

Also Wilson Central promoted one of their assistants to the head slot.
