I went to that tournament years ago..matter of fact it was the first year (1987 or 1988) that the 3 point line would be in effect for that tourney. I was young at the time and remember some talented basketball teams there that put me in awe! Enough reminiscing....Good luck to all TN teams!!

Illinois basketball is pretty good. There have been some good Middle TN teams go up to this tournament and the one in Centralia and struggled in the past couple of years. I believe Beech and WH have had a tough time up there.

Cumberland County has gone to Carbondale the past three seasons. They had a very good showing last year. Great competition at that event.

White House plays East Peoria today, they should be able to win this one if they come out to play.

 

ok, I was really wrong on this one. I didn't think Carbondale was that strong this year and they beat E Peoria by 15 or close to that.

 

Playing in this caliber of tournament will help White House get better

Union City and Obion Central used to play in this tourney back in the day....They used to have it split up between big schools and smaller schools...The champion of each classification would then play each other for an overall champion....Back then the whole thing was at SIU...Looks like now they play in different venues...
