I witnessed 2 public schools playing basketball last night and listened to crude obsenities in the form of cheers being yelled from the students - that's one reason people choose something different.

The multiplier has nothing to do with recruiting. That makes me laugh! The multiplier was put in place to "level the playing field" or to punish schools that are private.

I know that 10 of the 14 girls on the MTCS jr high team have been there since K or 1st grade, so whoever their recruiter is - is doing a miraculous job! ;)

Most people don't send their kids to christian schools for the Lord's sake - they make that choice for their kids' sake

Are you saying kids from your school do not say obscenities?

:D to level the playing field. Now why would they do that? Surely not to punish? ;)

4 kids can make a tremendous difference.

Then why else send them to a Christian school if not for Christ sake and to learn His teachings?

As far as the obscenities go, etc...We often play Christian schools from the other district in our high school region tournament...Also, entirely too often those Christian schools are no more sportsmanlike, etc then any other team that we play throughout the year. In fact, there were several times in the past few years that we were cussed, etc by the opposing "christian" schools student sections...Just gonna give you some advice..lay off your almight better than thou attitude as far as your team and child goes. They do wrong also, and if you think by sending them to a Christian school you are somehow sheltering them from the real world out there..you are sadly mistaken...

And yes it may be true that the multiplier is not for recruiting PERSAY....but it is there due to the fact that I can drive my kid from an hour away to this "private" school if I so choose...Not exactly recruiting but you get the picture..

    • Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
    • I am pro coach all day long but there are some knucklehead hires for sure.
    • This is a great question. The retirement seemed a little premature. I do not know the coach personally, but I hope he has found what he is looking for. He is a fine Christian man with a lot of principle and morals about him. I wish him nothing but the best. There are some players in the box for the next coach. This is going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
    • Agree? Your the one defending a dude with your life for getting a DUI. That's the worst thing on here.
    • Can’t believe no one posted on this and gave this team the recognition they deserve!  AAU team Tennessee went to Iowa and done what no other team had ever done and took down Iowa and the strength by holds in AAU nationals!!! Yes McCallie had a solid group of 8th graders and they showed up but we had an AAU team that wrestled their butt off and we didn’t just place in the top 5 … we won the whole dang thing! Yes the NHSCa’s were happening and that may have hurt but never once had TN ever won the national folkstyle duals national championship!!  It was a team effort and some amazing young kids!!!    We are not a fly over state any more… on a side note : we have any even better team for cadet National's team duals in Utah and have a chance to sweep both duals which would be unprecedented!!! However the funds aren’t there and USA isn’t in th position to help these kids get to utah as was AAU that got us to Iowa! Stay tuned for some oppertunities to help make a statement for Tn!!!
