We are looking for Top of the Rotation Starters and a Power Bat. Any player born on or after Jan 1,1991 is eligble to play. Post 19 begins play June 1 and plays thru August. We will travel to Dothan AL, Tuscaloosa AL,Paducah KY, and St.Louis MO this year playing the best teams in American Legion Baseball. We will also host the SE Regional in Columbia Aug 4-9 with the winner advancing to the American Legion World Series in Spokane Washington. Post 19 has played baseball for 62 straight years and is one of the oldest running teams for summer baseball in the state of Tennessee. Our home games are played at Columbia State College. Post 19 provides a chance to play a full summer of baseball against strong competition with NO player fees involved. Certain area restrictions apply. We are looking for pitchers, power bats, and outfielders. Any player that is High School eligible can play. Our home field is yet TBD but home games will be played in Columbia. Post 19 provides High School players a chance to play a schedule of 40-50 baseball games against strong competition with only a $200 player fee. The player fee helps cover uniforms, tournament entry fees, equipment, insurance, etc... Post 19 17U team won the 2009 American Legion State Championship and look to repeat this year. The 2010 State Tournament has 12-16 teams lined up to play. Post 19 17U team begins play May 29 and concludes play on July 21 against the Post 19 SR (19U) team. Willie Posted May 12, 2010 Report Share Posted May 12, 2010 Columbia Post 19 Juniors Baseball Tryouts Saturday May 15 at 1:00pm Location – Columbia Academy Any player that is under the age of 17 or High School eligible may tryout. Players should come dressed in baseball clothing with the necessary equipment. Baseball cap, t-shirt, baseball pants, cleats, glove, etc… Any players interested but their high school team is still playing a tryout will be set up at a later date once the player’s season has ended.
