Hickman County has an awesome facility. The J.E. Sisco Gymnasium has to rank near the top of the best mid-state gyms. Even though its probably over 30 years old, it has been maintained well over the years and is a great place to watch a game. BTW, coaches and officials alike agree that the hospitality room at Hickman's Christmas Tourney is flat out the best anywhere!

Are we talking about he newest best or just best gyms? Because there some very nice gyms around the state old and new. Martin-Westwiew is very nice, enjoyed it there. I think its relatively new. McMinn Central is an old gym but a great place to play in the "round house". No better atmosphere than there. Livingston Academy for an older facility is still one of the best places to play at. It is very accomodating and a great atmosphere too. Ensworth is very very nice! You just need to go see it. Cookeville High has a nice facility also.

This thread can go in several different directions, but my vote for "best basketball gym" in the Mid-State is still Shelbyville Central. It was voted as one of the nation's top ten high school basketball venues by USA Today in 2004. For me - hard to top the days of "Rick's Grill," 110 straight wins and four consecutive state titles.
