Last word I've heard is that Lane will not be competing for Bradley this year. I know things can change but until there is a ruling by RC then it looks like he'll have to wait until next year. Personally, I hope to see him in Bradley's line up this year......only time will tell.

According to the new TSSAA rules, Lane would likely not be eligible. Although he moved from DII to DI, and a boarding school (did he board last year?) back to his parents' house in the district (I am assuming), Baylor and Bradley are in the same territory. All of the stipulations are not met for him to be eligible.

sly,

Is the Bradley athletic director not filing a hardship application for Mr. Lane? As I understand the process, if an athlete doesn't meet all the published eligibility requirements and there are extenuating circumstances, then a hardship exception can be requested and ruled on by RC. I would think a change in the family's financial situation, a family member falling into poor health, or a number of other reasons that could be considered a reasonable hardship.

I really don't know what the process is for this but from what I've heard its the parent who has to file for the hardship????? I'll keep you posted when I hear anything new on his status.
