Bad call?

Was it a bad call? The Graham touchdown? Here's what I think:

 

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT WAS A BAD CALL!!! THE DEFENSE GAVE UP ON THE PLAY!!!

 

As long as UT is always looking for an excuse, they'll always be 2nd best. One guy on the Basilio show yesterday pretty much summed it up when he said UT should change their fight song from "Rocky Top" to "Blame it on The Rain" by Milli Vanilli.

You're right swamp. They gave up. And one touchdown there is not the difference maker. From what happened later on QB-center exchanges, UF gets a TD or a safety on the next play if it's not a TD.

 

A kid that goes to church with me that will be playing for the Diamond Vols this year said Graham was short though. The entire student section (and every other Vol fan in Neyland) was giving the refs the barnyard chant...

As sports lovers...and somewhat intelligent football fans, let's take a look at "what if's."

 

What if, the correct call was made? Not to whine, but the kid was well short of scoring on that play. Would Tennessee come out with more emotion after a huge goalline stop? Could be...who know's.

 

There is thinking that could argue the score would have been Florida 7, Tennessee 0 at the end of the first half because of the bad call. Remember, we are doing what if's.

 

Florida won, hands down and that's all that matters. The call was terrible, but the coaches and players should have never allowed that dismal display of football happen in the second quarter. Tennessee did help beat themselves, but they lost....move on.
