tradertwo Posted April 20, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 20, 2013 Agree with everything you said, but I would have two divisions in D2 - one division that allows financial aid to athletes and one that does not. I think we have gotten to the point of no return of publics/privates being in the same division. Publics will never be happy as long as privates are winning any titles in D1, and medium sized privates have been multiplied out of being able to compete with schools that are sometimes 3 times their size. Our private school went D2 last year and after a year of competing with same size/same type schools, I could not be happier with the decision to move. Update...not everyone at the school feels the same,apparently.Unless I miss my guess as to the identity of the school in question they will be returning to the public division next season.Wonder what will become of the athletes deemed elligible in DII that are not in the public division?
