I've been watching Nashville football for some time and have to observe that the Irish give as good as they take, most years. It would appear that their physical talent seldom measures up to MBA, Brentwood Academy, or Ensworth, and yet they appear to be competitive most of the time. Perhaps they would be better if some of their bigger athletes like "In Hoc...." hadn't quit the team.At least, that's what I hear.

Why throw Hockey under the bus? Did he not win his state titles?

Well veteran, thats just speculation on your part but I think you miss the whole point of my post which is why is a current player at Ryan hyping up a father ryan football team that to be frank doesn't need to be or for that matter want to be on the d-2 radar? I am sure this is something Bruce Lussier would not want, I am sure he prefers to fly below the radar. As for me not playing, that was my choice and I think that banner in Ryan's gym is proof enough to support my decision. I support Father Ryan football, but until they are consistently in the elite ranks of this division (like Pat Simpson's crew is) they should in my opinion avoid posting topics like this, am I wrong?

As a matter of fact, you are wrong. This is not the real Levine. You might want to sit down because this could shock you...anyone can sign up under any name. (gasp) FRHS has made some good progress toward the top in the last couple of years. They have beaten what seemed to be an unbeatable BA twice, along with McCallie and Baylor last year. If you don't see that there are issues related to FRHS football being at the top of D-II that no other sport has to deal with, you need to stay away from this topic. You really went out on a limb on the Lussier thing. What coach DOESN'T want to fly under the radar?! :popcorneater: As for FRHS wrestling...no question it has one of, and probably THE, best staffs in the state. I will remind you, though, that there are no banners in the gym that say "heavyweight" on them. As for quitting...you're right. Everyone has the choice to be a quitter. You (supposedly) quit to be a state champion of 8 guys in the weakest weight class in the smallest division in the state (although from talking to a few guys your age, it was more about your toughness than wrestling). Since you're such a supporter of FRHS football...why don't you do what you do best and quit. You quit on them then. Quit talking about them now. Stick to wrestling threads.

IrishX, your a moron. Obviously Mr. Levine did not post this topic it doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

But your right that banner in the gym is not from my fruit, it is from the fruit of the work of both my teammates (most of whom cut a considerable amount of weight) and myself (we all know that Father Ryan wrestling practices six days a week from November to February).

As for me being a quitter, I suppose you could put Cole Gobbell and Sam Clanton in that category with me? As for my 2nd state individual title it wasn't the cake walk you described though I made it look that way, I was the last wrestler (that I know of) to beat Ryan Carrethers of BA (who you might know as the big kid that pancaked you, or your son on the gridiron) who the following year went undefeated and pinned a majority of his opponents, including Hunter Allen, this years D-I state champion.

Anyone Irish X, your filth and won't post your name on here and because you won't your bottom feeding rubbage. As far as I am concerned as long as Father Ryan has filth like you on their football team and people of my caliber on the wrestling team, the results for the two teams will continue as they are and will likewise be the norm.

I don't have a dog in this hunt but I tend to agree with In Hoc. Also have noticed that of all the D2 teams they are the most penalized and take the most cheap shots. They don't seem to have much respect for the game so I don't blame In Hoc for not wanting to be part of it.

is there a stat book for penalties? im not sure where this information is coming from... and cheap shots? do they hit after the play or something?
