Seymour Girls Job

Has anyone heard anything about candidates for the Seymour Girls Job?

They should be better than 18 wins next year, so it should attract a lot of good candidates.

Several of my coaching friends in that district and around Knoxville are watching this one closely. Todd Wright turned down advances from Seymour to take the Lenoir City job after leaving Maryville College.

 

Reportedly...the other finalists are a couple of smaller college coaches wanting to move back to East TN and another successful, long-standing coach in the Knoxville area is interested as well.

I heard Todd Wright wanted the job but wasn't offered it. With his resume don't know why he wouldn't have been offered but that's what I heard. Seymour still has no size and will be hard pressed to beat Pigeon Forge (rivalry games) or Sevier County the next couple of years with their young talent coming up.

Solid, young coach for Seymour. She was an assistant coach for Knox Central this past year, and has served on coaching staffs at two schools in Sevier County. Played for Jefferson County High School. Obviously, she knows the area well.

Would that be D1 or D2 ? Big difference between the divisions.

Division I. She should be very successful next year. Seymour has four starters back from a team that won 18 games.

Sounds like she is a great coach and I know she is getting a great bunch of girls. I wish them success!
