silverpie
What did Wilson Central want to have changed--a return to the old 16-team format?
DNJKreager
No, they wanted to increase the individual tournament (DI and DII). Denied because of crowd issue. TSSAA decided the tournament couldn't handle an even larger crowd.
PHargis
While I'm not particularly a HS bowling fan, this does point out that high School bowling at a competitive High School Level is very hot. One of the reasons, but not the main one, is the following on this site and folks like silver having enough interest in asking the question. It makes one think that High School competitive anything, is a sure winner but it also makes you realize that generations support excellence in anything. Overflow crowds in bowling? Don't have a bowling lanes to accomadate the crowds? Even a high level Sportswriter, who you would wonder would really know, gets on this site and not only knows about bowling but he is really astute about the TSSAA Board Meeting and can give you a high level answer to why and how's of the agenda item. Bet he might have even gone to the lanes to cover the Prep event. Great response.
