Copied from previous thread:

We start with the Region Semi Finals (since besides MJUHB, most don't know enough about teams state wide) The following would be in affect for scoring:

Region semis: 1 (one) point for each correct prediction in the first round

Region Finals: 2 (two) points for each correct prediction in the second round

Sectionals: 4 (four) points for each correct prediction in the third round

BREAK:

Points stay the same, but you are allowed to fill out a new state bracket to make it interesting with the remaining teams that are still in it. Points will carry over

State Quarters: 8 (eight) points for each correct prediction in the fourth round

State Semi:16 (sixteen) points for each correct prediction in the fifth round

State Finals: 32 (thirty-two) points for each correct prediction in the sixth round

Tie breaker is the predicted number of total goals scored by all teams in the state tournament.

Cut off dates will be 12:00 (noon) on the day of the first region semi finals. State RE-entry cut off date will be 12:00 (midnight) on the night BEFORE the quarter finals. No entry, no play! No editing whatsoever, or it will be nullified.

Can someone explain to me how the Region 1, 7 & 8 brackets work since the TSSAA just has the two districts listed as 4 games in each region..

D

Speaking only for Region 1 - because the region consists of only 8 teams, and because Greeneville won last year's district and regional playoff matches by a combined score of 32-1 (it would have been even worse as one of the matches was a forfeit), and because Greeneville returns 10 of last year's 11 starters :hungry: the powers to be combined the district and regional playoffs into 4 matches. Note: Greeneville won their first match 13-0 last night. :thumb:

On the "Scores Only" thread (what part of Score Only is difficult for people?), you asked what can a team do not to score 13. According to Soddy fans, your starters should not even have played. They claim that in such a situation as a district playoff game, their coach does not play their starters. I don't happen to agree with this philosophy, but it is an option.

If I were you, which I am not, I would be MUCH more proud of the fact that Greeneville has competed with some of the best teams in the state and had great results there, rather than focusing on the 32-1 district scoring results.
