Word on the street is that ND is moving to Div2 next year due to the unlimited resources of the parents, world class facilities, and the fact that 97% of the players are recruited from Norway and Brazil.

CC- You betcha..at least Canes won't find us over here...

NDSEAN- The Notre Dame HS soccer training facility is definitely the hook that gets all of the players...who wouldn't want a field they can spit across practically....

BWSC and TNFC are trying to combine. Unfortunately parents stand in the way. The vote is Monday May 7. BWSC parents get to vote which puts the merge in jeopardy. They are too concerned about having to drive 20 minutes to franklin for training and/or little lucy not being on the top team anymore. Pathetic..

By an overwhelming majority, both clubs voted to merge. The new club is Tennessee Soccer Club. This is great for TN soccer

Has Brentwood ever applied for the ECNL? They seem to be the only logical choice in the state to be included.

 

For those interested, Regionals will be very, very light on the girls side this year. It is my understanding that the only ECNL club sending their first team is CESA - the host club! The clubs passing on regionals are Dallas Texans, Dallas Sting, Defeaters, Solar, Lonestar, GSA, Concorde Fire, CASL, Birmingham united, Atlanta Fire and Charlotte SA. These clubs might be represented at regionals, but it will be with their second team and not their ECNL team (the first team). ECNL has their national championships in Chicago from June 24th to 30th. ECNL teams are headed in that direction....

Rush & lobos are merging players. Not sure how it will work unless they become Rush.
