Yeah i hear ya seems like we heard that the last time we hosted CSAS, they were suppose to beat us by 20-30 that year if i remember right and i do. Keep on thinking that Swanson. JC will not get beat on their home floor in a substate game. All you have to do is ask the CSAS faithful about their last experience when they came to Jackson County :popcorneater:

CSAS will be hosting a sub-state game, they are the best team down there in that region...Whoever comes up from 3a to play a 4a team will lose. Whoever travels to 3a to play CSAS will be dominated. But what happen when they got to the state tournament and played some of the top teams in the state...they got drilled as will happen if any 4a team makes it to the state tournament...However we are off topic as this is a Mr. Basketball topic... We can continue this discussion on another thread!

I think Summertown could PLAY WITH CSAS--after all they did play Red Bank to a 10 pt game, Spring Hill to two games of less than 6 pts and both of those are top 5 teams in AA. They have also beaten Union City. This isnt saying they would beat CSAS but they could definitely stay with them. At any rate this is about Mr Basketball and any discussion that goes beyond the Clarksville Academy twins is useless discussion.

N. HUGHES from Hampton (A), He is the leader in total points scored so far this season in DISTRICT 1, that means all A,AA,AAA. That's pretty awesome he also leads with ppg, steals, free throws made and is 2nd with assist.

according to the johnson city press hughes is averaging something like 22 points 7 rebounds 5 assists and 3 steals per game this season, correct me if i'm wrong on that, i dont have the paper in front of me. he also put up some pretty impressive numbers in the arby's classic earlier this year against some very good teams.

Jared Nave from Cannon County reached his 1,000 career point! Great accomplishment as he mainly plays post and not a shooting guard. He is their second leading scorer on the team (averaging 17), but he also is their leading rebounder, and is leading the team in charges taken with 18. A huge contributor to Cannon County being ranked 2nd in the District. A great all around player who is a great leader on and off the court. That's what a Mr. Basketball should be.

its funny how you already have JC playing a substate game at home. dont you have to win the region for that first? you havent gone undefeated in your district so how do you already think you can fly through the district and region tournaments?

Single A (Hometown Cook'n)

A

Wes Grace - he is the MVP of his team without him THEY go nowhere with him they are a hard team to beat. It Means so much to have a leader. Top Scorer and always plays to win.

Trent Boles - 2 year Starter played all 4 years. He is the scorer and leader of his team. has taken a team people had said would be winning half their games at this point in the season and made them a team nobody wants to play. Bet you ask any coach he has played against and they will give him the nod. Ave 20ppg and also a leader in assist.

Jordan Godwin- Great athlete and always plays hard. Leading scorer and has been in doubles digits in scoring and rebounds many games.

    • Well, your Big Western Hunt better turn up some Zebras to come graze on the Stones to make the jungle gametime ready again and make sure the plumber bros. still will come service the facilities at the Mecca. I hope your weekend is Fowl. Tell Rip hello from the Five Oh. Maybe the Gravedigger will catch a ride with Alphaniner on a flyover soon to BNA.
    • It’s not hearsay, just patently false. As one of those young coaches he apparently “ran off”, coach never once ridiculed or degraded anyone. Sure he challenged kids and coached them very hard,  but we have different definitions of you call that degrading. Coach Hammontree changed my life when he gave me the chance to work for him. I learned more about being a man and caring for the people around me in 4 years working for him than I did in 20 years of my life. No one sacrificed more than he did. I left Heritage because I felt there would never be the support necessary to help the program succeed. I’m tired of hearing people drag others down especially those they truly don’t know. Coach has moved on and a new coach is there. Just let the man live and root for the team.
    • Waiting on the Great One.   White Horse and Rip have a big weekend in the woods, and the Sheriff is working the overtime here.      Turkey season awaits…..Big Gobblers everywhere.
