What's up in that game, period. Safe to say this was one of the bigger upsets of the night across all divisions.

Yes please elaborate a little more. Maybe you mean the big disappoint for a team that should be in the boro. That's the only thing I can gather from this.

This is definately not a surprise for anyone who knows basketball. Stone Memorial is a really good team when they play well. Do they have off nights where weaker teams can beat them? Sure...But all in all they are as good as anyone when they are on their game. Congrats to Coach Buck and Coach Capps and good luck in the semi's...

This is definately not a surprise for anyone who knows basketball. Stone Memorial is a really good team when they play well. Do they have off nights where weaker teams can beat them? Carter has lost 4 of their last 5 by double digits with arguably the best player in ET. They also have a good supporting cast. During this 5 game stretch, they lost to a talented Jeff County team - a team they beat by 25 early in the season. I don't think anyone is surprised based upon recent performance but most are curious to know why Carter collapsed late in the season?

Carter has lost 4 of their last 5 by double digits with arguably the best player in ET. They also have a good supporting cast. During this 5 game stretch, they lost to a talented Jeff County team - a team they beat by 25 early in the season. could be the fact they are very undisciplined. They picked up 3 technicals sat night due to the fact they were frustrated and were challenged a bit. No upset here guys. Stone has played the likes of siegel, West, Mcallie twice, Livingston, Dobyns-Bennett,etc. So Carter did not spook these guys. Game was over at half.

To say this win, at Carter, was not an upset is a bit of a stretch.

 

While Stone has indeed played the teams you cite, they lost almost every one of those games.

 

That said, they are also an obviously improved team over the first part of their season, winning 12 of their last 13 games (including an impressive 84-67 win over Alcoa in late January).

 

Basketball is a tournament sport, and Stone is certainly on a run at the right time.
