Wayne County vs North Greene

Please don't go there. This was a GREAT hard fought game by both teams. Did we have the best officiating? NO! Bad calls BOTH ways. And many NO calls, again BOTH ways. N. Greene wasn't beat by the officials in the end, on that particular day Wayne Co. was just a little bit better. I'm quite sure you guys will be back next year and if we aren't then I wish you good luck!

You're correct, that was me asking about the technical foul. The NG Coach didn't seem out of line at all with his body language, so I wondered what warranted a technical.

With the ineptness of the officials I watched in two games Saturday, I'd have probably been ejected if I were a Coach.

Best game of the day by far! I'm happy we came down early, we were there for AA Miss Basketball and I will have to say we got our moneys worth with this game. I didn't have anyone playing and I was on the edge of my seat the whole game(even when Wayne was up by 17, NG never slowed down or gave up)! That is how basketball should be. I would have liked to seen North Greene take it but congrats to Wayne C., you both played great. Mariah Britton was such a joy to watch, this kid has that spark! Is she playing college anywhere?

Congrats to the Lady Cats for a great year and championship game. It was very exciting game. Britton is a very exciting player to watch as well. I thought that the officials let the girls play. North Greene had about every starter with at least 4 fouls and I think #2 fouled out. WC had Daniels to foul out and a couple others with 4 fouls. I thought that the officials could have called a lot more fouls than they did. #23 (Britton) could have been gone by mid third quarter and at least by the mid fourth quarter but the officials let them play. Daniels 5th foul may not have been called if both girls hadn't hit the floor.

Mariah signed with Bryan College, but the coach is gone and she has an opportunity to elsewhere now. With her performance at the championship game, I'd say she'll be getting a lot of phone calls.
