Soccer Ole 3v3 tournament in Memphis area

Hello Alabama! I'm inviting all Alabama high school players to come to Olive Branch, MS (a southern Memphis suburb 3 short hours up US 78 from Birmingham) for a 3v3 tournament that Soccer Ole is putting on. It’s the first ever soccer tournament allowed on the pristine Olive Branch fields. It took me a year of working with the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen to get this approved. By the time it finally passed, it made it a short notice tourney. We really want to show the Mayor and city officials how important soccer can be to the community. We need this tourney to succeed. If there is any way you folks can come to Olive Branch and bring a few teams with you, that would be awesome! We would love for you to come here and play against the Memphis area teams. We even have some teams coming in from Little Rock. The competition should be good!

We will have full concessions, A BBQ trailer (they were the 2nd place finisher in the shoulder division in the Memphis In May BBQ contest), McAllister's Deli will have a tent there selling sweet tea and cookies, a fruit stand, a vendor selling toasted and flavored pecans, a sporting goods retail tent and hopefully a vendor selling boiled peanuts. I'm even looking into a misting fan to cool everyone down. It will be a first class tournament at a first class facility… a great time for families and players alike!

Olive Branch has a lot to offer. For the adults, we are 30-45 mins away from the 9 Tunica casinos. We are 30 minutes from Beale Street, and 25 minutes from Graceland and the Memphis Zoo (rated #1 in the country by Mobil Travel). It could be a fun getaway weekend for the family. More information at www.soccerole.org, or visit our facebook page at www.facebook.com/soccerole. Please give it a look. Thank you for your consideration.

    • Yeah, I don’t see that AC situation ending well. Let’s be real, AC is a super redneck school, always has been. Inner city boys and rednecks just don’t generally mix well, if you get my drift. Before it’s all said and done, there will be drama. As I’ve said before, people will sell their souls to win football games. It’s crazy.
    • Booger thinkin that it probably not unreal istical to be thinkin the TFP could be ones source..... Booger just sayin
    • Hard to believe that it’s two kids from The McCallie School, and one each from Dobyns Bennett and The Baylor School.  I really thought a couple of other kids would have made the podium this year.
    • I have said it many times before, Coach Phillips stated awhile back; "We coach players that want to be ROADRUNNERS!"  Even if they takes their lumps and bruises and its been bruises the last couple of years, they're still not going to recruit players.  If they stay, LETS GO!  If they leave, SEE YA LATER!  IT's HARD BEING A ROADRUNNER!     Fulton was tough back in the days when they won 3 titles, no argument there.   AC-  I think they beat Alcoa this year , Alcoa isn't all that and they will take their bumps and bruises this year. They won't cake walk 4A and I agree those parents will turn on the coach because they're playing outside kids
    • What I meant to say is, "They don't have to use MONEY or other things to get players to their program!"  Aren't very good?  1 State Title in School history speaks a lot , go figure!
