Soccer Ole 3v3 tourney in Memphis area July 23rd

Recommended Posts

Hello Tennessee! I'm inviting all Tennessee soccer players to come to Olive Branch, MS (a southern Memphis suburb) for a 3v3 tournament that Soccer Ole is putting on July 23rd. It’s the first ever soccer tournament allowed on the pristine Olive Branch fields. It took us a year of working with the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen to get this approved. By the time it finally passed, it made it a short notice tourney. We really want to show the Mayor and city officials how important soccer can be to the community. We need this tourney to succeed. If there is any way you folks can come to Olive Branch and bring a few teams with you, that would be awesome! We would love for you to come here and play against the Memphis area teams. We even have some teams coming in from Little Rock. The competition should be good!

We will have full concessions, A BBQ trailer (they were the 2nd place finisher in the shoulder division in the Memphis In May BBQ contest), McAllister's Deli will have a tent there selling sweet tea and cookies, a fruit stand, a vendor selling toasted and flavored pecans, a sporting goods retail tent and hopefully a vendor selling boiled peanuts. I'm even looking into a misting fan to cool everyone down. It will be a first class tournament at a first class facility… a great time for families and players alike!

Olive Branch has a lot to offer. For the adults, we are 30-45 mins away from the 9 Tunica casinos. We are 30 minutes from Beale Street, and 25 minutes from Graceland and the Memphis Zoo (rated #1 in the country by Mobil Travel). It could be a fun getaway weekend for the family. More information at www.soccerole.org, or visit our facebook page at www.facebook.com/soccerole. Please give it a look. Thank you for your consideration.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
