I'm away from the area a bit but the strength in East Tennessee seems to be in the Big 8 and West of Knoxville. Certainly West and East will be the strongest in District 2 but Jefferson might just give them a battle. In the region though, unless that 6'5" transfer works out with West, South and DB and Tennessee likely will be the best in District 1. You'll have some great play though. As the games progress around the Morristown area, hope you'll report the extraordinary and outstanding events up there as they happen.

East, West, and Seymour looked like the best teams at the IMAC jamboree. I think all three of these teams can play with the teams in the Big 8. East will get a big early season test on Monday as they will travel to Blount County to play Alcoa and Maryville. East faired well against teams from Big 8 at the Carson Newman playday. West should once again be very tough and Seymour will be good as well.

Not heard much about Seymore. They have a lot of Club players and if so where do they play Club.

Not sure about where or if Seymours players play club ball but they looked pretty good the other night. Maybe some Seymour fans can chime in and let us know. Should be a fun year in the IMAC and I for one am looking forward to it!

Lady Canes off to a good start with victories over Alcoa and Maryville last night. Played really sloppy but I guess its early, its nice to be 2-0. Playing South Greene tonight who pushed West to 5 games last night.

West was supposed to be very good this year so it sounds like South Greene is legit. You know those environmental Greenes(So many of them I can't count them) are always competitive.

South Greene is pretty good they beat my ladies in 5 games last night. Tough loss but a very competitive game.

Morristown East Lady Canes! Won tournament by beating Davy Crockett, Johnson County, West Greene, Science Hill, & Unicoi County. We did not lose a set which was impressive but the girls played very well considering we just lost our big girl in the middle probably for a month or longer (shoulder). The girls had to adjust and play different positions and they did great!

Elizbethton usually has a very good Tournament. Do you remember any other schools there? Was MT West or Seymour there?
