Best Freshmen Girls players in TN

Yennie was out most of the year with a stress fracture in her back and she was unable to play until tourney time. She is a very solid player and should benefit FRA in the future.

Abby Zanone from Hutchison is an amazing defender. Lot's of good freshman on that team.

Stefanie Holland did awesome this year for Harpeth Hall. She's going to have a great career. She always makes something happen and she works so hard. Holland is a great player to watch and she makes the game fun! I recomend going and seeing her play.

Totally agree crockpot......you know the saddest thing though...........

 

Her travel team plays her in goal, alot! She has way too much field potential to be in goal.

 

To me, the more time she spends in goal, the less of field

player she'll be.

I agree with you soccercrazed...I think it is a mistake playing her in the goal even though I hear she is a great goalie. I also think that she has so much heart and love for the game, which are two things that can in some cases mean more than skill. I think her skill will stick and her will to win will carry her farther. I play with Stefanie and as a junior I look up to her style of play and frequently ask for her advice. She has so much potential and will continue to grow as a player over the course of the next three years. Even though her travel coaches feel that she is more effective in the goal, our coaches her at HH do a great job of recognizing her skill and potential she has as a field player. Taryn and Stefanie aren't related but they are both amazing keepers for freshman.

 

Dunham is just amazing...you will see a lot of her down the road.

Smyrna has a bunch of really good girls but there coach is terrible and favors certain players. This school might have the worst coach i've ever seen. II can't stand coaches who seat down just to add to the matter.

However, just for history's sake, if anyone reading this has followed high school soccer for the past 10 years, we will never again see a freshman as good as Ridgeway's Geniel Newbern was in 1998. My goodness, talk about unbelievable??? The Michael Jordan of girls soccer in Tennessee history.

Courtney Dunlap from DCA is an excellent player. Davidson Academy had only one junior and no seniors this past year. Several freshmen and sophomores are great players to watch out for in the future.

yes, smyrna is talented with a bunch of frshman girls. i can't wait to see what their teams record will be when they become seniors.
