The Defending 6A Champions do not duck from anyone! Name another team in a second round playoff game thats on the opponents 6 yard line with 10 seconds left chooses to head on into the locker room instead of taking the points! GQ has the boys ready to play tomorrow!!

I must agree, Maryville isn't going to duck anyone and would probably be glad to add the ol Smokey Bears to their schedule if they wish. Coming from OR... I would recommend it, it only makes you stonger.

I disagree. For years, Maryville played sub par William Blount and Heritage teams in non district games and said it was for "community" reasons. Sevier Co. would play Seymour for the same reason . A mute point now of course, but for years this occurred .

These are Rivalry games not ducking....if you can't see that then you shouldn't be posting anymore because you have no football knowledge . I'm sure Maryville wouldn't have minded beating yall by 3 TD's or more instead of beating Heritage and William Blount

Maryville cruises easily, 35-14. Will be hard for SC to throw on Maryville, I would say they pick two or three, maybe one to the house. Great comeback for SC against DB, what is up with them, they seem to get bit in the playoffs each year, could be the soft district they are in, Upper ET not very strong overall.

After watching those game films and gettin my goggles off, it likely won't be 77-7. The smokin bears look awfully good. I think I even saw 4 verticals in that film. It may be a game worth the $40 for my whole family to attend.

Whenever you play some team in your same county there is some type of Rivalry no matter if you want to believe that or not. There has been some pretty good games between Maryville and William Blount in the past 6-8 years. A sure Dandy in 07. To say Maryville has ducked anyone is an asinine statement

Each team in the state of TN. can only play who is on their schedule! We can debate about what district each of us plays in or whatever but none of it matters because its just talk!Thats why we play this great game! My opinion is that Maryville is the standard all teams want to achieve! You can include Alcoa in that standard as well and a few other programs around the state! Those two programs are head and shoulders above the rest!
