I think CBHS surprised alot of people. Alot of people thought Brentwood Academy would advance....but the Brothers had something to say about that.

CBHS vs Baylor is next. Baylor is just a great football team on both sides of the ball. I am excited about this game and am making the trip to Chattanooga.

Let's get the conversation started. Opinions, predictions of the game?

This has been a funky year with predicting match ups.

Ensworth beats MUS, Baylor crushes Ensworth, MUS destroys CBHS, BA beats Baylor by 3 but it could have been 3 touchdowns.... Ensworth blows out BA. CBHS for 3 quarters blows out BA... good luck. I think the CBHS coach did a great job of watching film on BA. He was running plays that other teams have had success against BA this year

This game will be close. Baylor has a slight edge due to home field advantage and the long bus ride for CBHS. I think if I was the CBHS AD, I would spring for a Thursday night travel day, motel stay and request a Friday morning walk thru on the Baylor field. 5 1/2 hour bus ride on the day of the game seems to me a disadvantage. Travel by air would be 35 minutes.

I am definitely going to go with Baylor on this one. There is no way the travel time helps you in anyway. Secondly, it will hard for CB to put two games together with the intensity they played us (BA). I wish both teams luck and congratulate you both on making it this far in the bracket.

Hey guys, I'm excited to be coming to the Baylor campus I've heard so much about. I think it will be a good game, we just seem to be a tough little team. I know Baylor is a clear favorite, as they should be. We seem to be bringing a nice little crowd from what I hear, it will be fun, I hope the trip home will be cheerful.

Also - Bay 38 CBHS 13

I think it was more of BA playing god-awful for 3 quarters last week than it was CBHS playing well.

I can't argue the score you predict, but CBHS played very well for 3 quarters, and packed it in way to early. BA, didn't play their best, but found out it was going to be a hard hitting game. They got that surprised look, and started the late hits and after the play pushing many team do when they were expecting an easy win.

I agree CBHS played very well for 3 quarters. But "packed it in way too early" depends on which side of the fence you are on. From my side, BA opened up their passing game and CBHS could not stop it.

I think most fans from both sides agree that BA was sluggish for the first 3 quarters, but that doesn't take away from the the play and execution of CBHS. Those were two very good teams and is another example of how tough this league is every week

Welcome Brothers....glad you are making the long trip from Memphis. I am excited that Baylor will be playing CBHS. Not sure Baylor is the clear favorite but making a long trip from home is tough for the kids. However, I would expect that they will be ready to play a hard fought game as will the Red Raiders. Travel safely...and glad that CBHS will be bringing a good crowd. Again, here's to a great game, great atmosphere, an injury free game and a Baylor victory!

Yes, no doubt, BA was bringing it, and if there was another few minutes your guys might have won.

    • From my understanding, Jay Graham pretty much took over HC responsibilities in that game, so you can thank him. Cute Andy didn’t need help, though. Cute Andy could’ve beaten us without any assistant coaches.
    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
    • yeah money aint right there anymore
