BarcaFan
White House 2, Hume-Fogg 2 I would not overlook White House for this district with ties and wins over competitive AAA opponents already this year.
BarcaFan
Cheatham County 7 - Greenbrier 2 Cheatham County is putting up lots of goals against their opponents this season. Are they the results of some gifted finishers on the squad?
mchsgoal21
I know there was some discussion about this district earlier but it seemed to dwindle (as did this entire board). For those still interested, here are the standings for both divisions at about the halfway point of district play. Also listed are the teams they have left to play. East Merrol Hyde 4-1-0 (Macon) White House 2-0-0 (GB, Macon, WM, ER) Greenbrier 2-1-0 (WH, WH-H, ER) Macon County 2-2-0 (MH, WH) WH-Heritage 1-2-0 (GB, ER, WM) East Robertson 1-2-0 (WH-H, GB, WH) Westmoreland 0-4-0 (WH, WH-H) West Cville Academy 3-0-0 (Wav, MC, Har) Harpeth 2-0-0 (MC, CC, Syc, Wav) Cheatham Co. 2-1-0 (CW, MC, Har) Montgomery Cent. 1-0-0 (Har, Syc, CC, CA, Wav) Sycamore 1-3-0 (MC, CW) Waverly 0-2-0 (Har, CA, CW, MC) Creek Wood 0-3-0 (CC, Wav, Syc)

I'm guessing that #6 vs #7 on each side will have a play in game. If that is the case, how is the rest of the tournament set up and where is the tournament going to be held this year? mchsgoal21
Standings as of 4/23 East Merrol Hyde 5-1-0 White House 4-0-0 (WM, ER) WH-Heritage 3-2-0 (WM) East Robertson 2-3-0 (WH) Greenbrier 2-4-0 Macon County 2-4-0 Westmoreland 0-4-0 (WH, WH-H) West Cville Academy 4-0-0 (MC, Har) Harpeth 3-0-0 (CC, Syc, Wav) Cheatham Co. 4-1-0 (Har) Montgomery Cent. 1-2-1 (CA, Wav) Sycamore 1-3-1 (CW) Waverly 1-3-0 (CW, MC) Creek Wood 0-4-0 (Wav, Syc) As far as the tournament goes, the #1 seed from each Division will receive a bye. The other teams will play first round games on Saturday May 5. #2E v. #7W, #3E v. #6W, etc. Games will be hosted by the higher seed. The Quarterfinals will take place Monday May 7, once again being hosted by the higher seed. The Semifinals and Finals will be played at Harpeth?? (still unsure on this) on May 8 and 10. whitehouse07
Standings as of 4/23 East Merrol Hyde 5-1-0 White House 4-0-0 (WM, ER) WH-Heritage 3-2-0 (WM) East Robertson 2-3-0 (WH) Greenbrier 2-4-0 Macon County 2-4-0 Westmoreland 0-4-0 (WH, WH-H) West Cville Academy 4-0-0 (MC, Har) Harpeth 3-0-0 (CC, Syc, Wav) Cheatham Co. 4-1-0 (Har) Montgomery Cent. 1-2-1 (CA, Wav) Sycamore 1-3-1 (CW) Waverly 1-3-0 (CW, MC) Creek Wood 0-4-0 (Wav, Syc) As far as the tournament goes, the #1 seed from each Division will receive a bye. The Quarterfinals will take place Monday May 7, once again being hosted by the higher seed. The Semifinals and Finals will be played at Harpeth?? (still unsure on this) on May 8 and 10. White House wins against Westmoreland and East Robertson. I see where CC beat Harpeth Have not seen a score for the MC vs CA game. If CA beat MC, and if Harpeth beats CA, you have 3 teams with a 5-1 record. What is the tie break system? Also have not seen any teams from the West side. What can anyone tell me about these teams. CC has put up some impressive goal numbers. Harpeth was undefeated until last night and CA is still undefeated in district play. MC and Syc could have the same record once district play is done. And when will the district tournament semi's and finals location be set.
mchsgoal21
Standings as of 4/25 East White House 6-0-0 Merrol Hyde 5-1-0 WH-Heritage 3-2-0 (WM) Greenbrier 2-4-0 Macon County 2-4-0 East Robertson 2-4-0 Westmoreland 0-5-0 (WH-H) West Cville Academy 5-0-0 (Har) Cheatham Co. 5-1-0 Harpeth 4-1-0 (CA) Montgomery Cent. 1-3-1 (Wav) Sycamore 1-3-1 (CW) Waverly 1-4-0 (MC) Creek Wood 0-5-0 (Syc) Let me see if I can answer all of the questions and discuss the potential scenarios. The standings in the East are set. There is still some shuffling that could happen in the West with the remaining games. Here are the breakdowns of each division. East The tope 3 seeds are set regardless of WH-Heritage's performance against Westmoreland. Three teams tied with a 2-4 record. The three team tiebreakers are as follows: 1. Record against other division opponents 2. Total goals against 3. Revert back to Head-to-Head 4. Most shutouts The teams in question are Greenbrier, Macon County and East Robertson. All went 1-3 against the other teams in the division. Total goals against gives Greenbrier 4th place with 12 (Macon had 16, ERHS had 27). Reverting back to H2H, Macon County defeated East Robertson 5-0 making MC #5 and ER #6. West #6 and #7 are set based on H2H. If Montgomery Central and Sycamore have the same record, the two team tiebreakers are as follows: 1. Head-to-Head (the teams tied in the regular season so we can ignore this one) 2. Goal Differential (3 goal maximum) 3. Most shutouts Going into Thursday's games, Montgomery Central leads the goal differential by 2 (-4 to -6). MC has 1 shoutout, Sycamore has 0. As for the top 3 seeds, it gets a little complicated. Here are the scenarios... If CA wins or ties: 1. Clarksville Academy 2. Cheatham County (H2H over Harpeth) 3. Harpeth If Harpeth wins all 3 teams would be 5-1. We can ignore the first 3-team tiebreaker because they all went 4-0. So we would go to total goals against. Harpeth stands at 3 GA, Cheatham at 4 GA and CA at 6 GA. Thus... If Harpeth wins and CA scores 0 goals: 1. Harpeth (3 goals against) 2. Clarksville Academy (H2H over Cheatham) 3. Cheatham County If Harpeth wins and CA scores 1+ goals: 1. Cheatham County (4 goals against and H2H over Harpeth) 2. Harpeth (H2H over CA) 3. Clarksville Academy So oddly enough, CA would have a worse seeding the better they performed in a loss. Potentially, the most complicated ending this District has ever seen. pride8
Your info on this district has been very valuable. You have the tie breakers a little off. At the fall meeting the tie breakers were set as this: 2 team 1 head to head 2 Goal Differential max of 3 (scoring 10 or more per game does you no good) 3 Fewest Goals allowed in district matches 4 most shut outs in district matches 3 team 1 record against other district opponents 2 fewest goals allowed 3 revert back to head to head 4 Most shut-outs All head coaches have this updated set of Guidelines and Procedures The tournament, unless changed at the meeting on the 27th, will be as follows: 1's get a bye Sat. May 5th 2v7, 3v6, 4v5 from opposite sides at higher seeds Mon. May 7th Quarters at higher seeds Tue. May 8th Semis at Harpeth Thur May 10th Finals at Harpeth Once again, your tracking of the teams in this district is to be commended. It really helps. mchsgoal21
Thanks. I've kinda taken on the role of keeping track of this for the guys and girls seasons. It's actually fun for me. We actually couldn't find our updated tie breakers so I was going off the top of my head. A little different wording but the results will still be the same. Just keeping my fingers crossed we won't have to deal with it all.
