McEwen has already sold 765 tickets of there 1000 and its only 9:25. 235 left, should be out soon, warriors get your tickets! Hope to hear Collinwood sells all 500 of there's.

tough to sell 500 tickets for a two hour drive. Especially for a place with a population less than 2,000.. expect maybe 100-150 Collinwood fans.. 200 max.

I think McEwen should be favored here.. Especially with a MUCH LARGER home crowd. Crowd makes a difference at this point in the game. But i dont expect a cake walk for McEwen. Would love to see this game tonight.. especialy if Collinwood was healthy. They are playing really well at times right now. Would be interesting if Butler was playing. But i think Cwoods age will be the ending factor here. However, if they get hot and shots start falling, the confidence will build and the "Young Factor" can be thrown out the window

Cwood 48

McEwen 60

but i have a much harder time picking against cwood here than i did against PC in the region championship. there is something telling me Cwood could sneak out with one if a couple shooters get hot

McEwen only has 320 students in the school. Slightly smaller than Collinwood. People just have family coming from all around and wavo and dickson people are expected to come. 2 hour drive means little to McEwen. Basketball is our main thing. I'd say we had a few hundred at least at Summertown last year. McEwen students cheer big for the team. I see it rattling C-Wood big time.... But, I hope to see a great game tonight never the less.

Collinwood High School has less than 290 students, so McEwen would have more. By the way, does anyone know when reclassification is as I suspect D12 will be a 5-team district again....

My mistake, I read online that the enrollment was 345.

That figure is probably just outdated and been there for a while...Cwood and WC enrollments have both been way down...WC has about 20-25 more students than Cwood for their lowest enrollment ever probably...

Heard Cwood was up 13-10 after one...

Yea C-Wood was up by 11 I think until McEwen started their come back. Score is 25 to 16 at half time, McEwen up.

    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
    • Could not agree more. After this year, McKenzie's new coach will have their work cut out for them. Staying in 1A would definitely be a huge plus. Most years there is not much difference in the top 5- 1A and 2A teams across the state, but after the top 5 or so there is normally a huge drop off for 1A. Regular season region play is a lot easier for 1A in West TN  right now.
