If Chicken County does win this game it won't be because of any body from Crathrage. It'll be because of some kid from Brentwood Academy or because of the Manning kid who's from Gorgansville. Carthage Owls the New Friendlyship where the motto is 'if we can't beat you with our own kids we'll just use someone elses!" flower.gif

High dollar coaching couldn't do it for ya, maybe something ya'll need to look into Daisy.

Best as I can tell.....NOBODY will be saying" IF MC wins this game"...... anytime this year...........roflol.gif

all my cousins are from carthage. my sources are above their heads, my pass allows me passage on both sides. thumb[1].gif

now, mite, i know you hoot owls are real proud of that cute lil 13 year record, but jimmy is about a decade short of our streak, so g-ville will remain the "lil creekbank" at satterfield stadium till at least 2023, if not longer. roflolk.gif

if you make it tomorrow night, look for the beard, i'll be around.

Well.......I understand...we shouldn't be too proud.......after all it is G-ville.

All bull aside I expect the usual good game.Probably 1-2 plays make the game or break the game. I still say neither team play's up to their potential in this game. Too many nerves involved. No player wants to be the one that makes a mistake. They both play tight and on edge, instead to being loose and focused. Probably more pressure is put on the kids by parents and fans than the Coaches.

Anyway......do I look for the cat with the Zack Brown look with his trusty side kick Seven??

i agree about the nerves. the last few years i've watched these games i've noticed it's seems like both squads are playing not to lose. that's a shame, i'd really like to see both sides let it all hang out for 4 quarters.

seven won't be there tom. night, maybe friday. we haven't discussed our plan of attack yet.

fwiw, i think i look like jeremiah johnson.

I believe we are in for a great contest Friday night. I know both teams will bring there A game and will play hard for 4 quarters. I will give credit to the Gville squad because they have a great football team this year and I hope they win every game but 1. But I believe SC has one of the best coaching staffs in the state and it will show Friday night. I had the privilege of playing for them and they had us prepared week in and week out and there is no doubt that they will have the SC boys ready for Friday night. It will be a hard fought game but SC will come on top as they have for the last 13 years...... SCP!

Don't you have a defense to coach in Sparta?

Look, some people do mention the whole state title thing, I don't. I was 3 years old, so it wasn't like I was there to see it.

However, talking about saying the same thing every year? "I wish they would just stop playing." I hear that from several posters, but they don't mean it. SC needs to play Gville for the rivalry and the gate, and very seldom is it a non-competitive game. Now, some will say that SC can get games with better gates. I highly doubt it. There are some teams that may bring big gates, but you have to look at the context of the game. The only games that may be bigger gates are playoff games or region championship games against a rival.

I really don't care if they play or not - but Croz, it's NOT if SC can stand to lose the gate - it's if GORDONSVILLE can stand to lose the gate. Gville would stand to lose a whole lt more than SC.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
