oldwiseone
do not see anyone stopping the streak if McCallie plays as expected. They have all five players back from last years state championship team and four of their top five from 2010. Would be great to see one of them take the medalist honor as that would also be three in a row. But Olsen from MUS has to be the prohibitive favorite to win his second individual state title (he won in 8th grade). Good luck to all the teams! oldwiseone
What happens when McCallie does not play well and Baylor does? Well, a 13 stroke lead for Baylor is huge. Not so large that it cannot be overcome, but it will take great play from McCallie combined with a slip up or two from Baylor. McCallie had too many double and triple bogeys from almost all their players...and Baylor played smart and very well. Blake Maum leading the individual chase with a 68 - he shot 90 in the region. Turnaround of the year.
oldwiseone
Baylor wins by ten over McCallie and Blake Maum takes the individual title shooting 68-71. Andrew Weathers of McCallie finished second with a two under par total (74-68). A bad first nine by McCallie yesterday proved to be the difference and the Baylor Boys played the last 6 difficult holes today very well.
