Stealer007
Anybody know anything about Warren Co. Are they still down.
Catsfan68
Sadly, Cope needs to worry more about big game experience for his girls rather than racking up cupcake wins. Some of the teams this weekend couldn't beat middle school teams. And he wonders why we can't upset any of the top teams in our district.... Catsfan68
Cope is just SC. He racks up wins against nobody classA teams and then when they play real teams he blows a fuse....duh. wonder why
dctiger
Anybody know anything about Warren Co. Are they still down. Heard our girls beat them multiple times in summer camp. But that was summer camp. Rest assured they'll give us all we can handle tomorrow night..should be a packed gym though.

I tend to agree with your post, although there is always the argument that confidence is needed sometimes early in the season….ideally it should be a balancing act between scheduling early season/pre district games that would both give you a good test/prepare you for the brutal district you play in and provide some confidence that your team might be lacking. But I would think the groundwork laid by JPC in his tenure @ DC they would be beyond playing this type of schedule. This girls district is like the SEC in football your ultimate success is measured by conference wins. So one can pile up wins against non TSSAA/Christian school type teams but if you are not advancing at least to Region play (something JPC did his 1st year when he inherited a team) then what have you really accomplished? Stealer007
Well lets go see how good Warren co is, Cope probably thinks one of the best. Go DC. Warren hasn't played anyone yet either.

dctiger
The remark has been made that if he has a losing season, he's gone. This is NOT true. Victor Harrison coached for 3 or 4 years and won less than 5 games each year. And he quit. I just think Cope should be scheduling Jackson Co, if they'll play us, and some of the decent AAA schools around here. (I mean seriously, look at all the schools in Wilson County.) He just needs to realize that wins DON'T matter when you're in our district. You have to have experience against competitive teams or you will get eaten alive.
