Stealer007
I'll say DC 42 CM 41. We finally get a big win. A team we beat twice last year.
dctiger
Gonna be hard to beat Central this year...they took their knocks starting 8th graders and freshmen and now it's paying off.

dctiger
54-26 Central. The work that they've put into their program is evident. Congrats. Definitely one of our Region tournament representatives IMO.
TigerPride23
I was afraid that might happen. Tough loss.
bob77
I have not seen them play, but I have been told they are VERY tough this year. Looking at the box score I noticed that out of DC's 26 pts, 24 were off 3 pointers. What were the 2 points? Sounds like it 3 or die for DC. Tough loss. dctiger
DC really needs to get some aggressive drives to the basket to make our threes less contested. Now, other teams just crowd us at the three point line. If they wanna be a three point shooting team, that's fine. But we HAVE to find ways to relieve pressure on the outside. TigerPride23
Look back on all of my posts and you'll see I've been complaining for some time about this live and die with the three ball. Point proven again. It's bad.
TigerPride23
We had no game plan. I'm a DC fan through and through. Went to school K-12 in DeKalb and I still will admit we had NO game plan any different than any other game. All we do is stand behind the three point line hoping for an open shot. It beats the weaker teams when they leave wide open threes, but district opponents are going to eat you alive inside. That's exactly what keeps happening, too. Yes we had a chance to win, but it was because Upperman is VERY down this year. It was hard to believe how down they actually are. The game was slow, shots were poor, passes were poor. On both sides of the ball. Play the way we did against them against any other district opponent and it would've been blown open early. All but two points scored from 3 point range tonight as said above. DC isn't exactly blessed with tall girls over the last few years, but something has to change. When we do drive the ball it is generally sloppy. We hardly ever isolate anyone downlow, and when we do they don't have the height to do much. dctiger
TP I saw those posts. I just catch tons of flack for any kind of criticism bc people have learned who I am. Maybe we can pull an upset in the second half of the district schedule...
TigerPride23
It would be nice. It really is strange I never see girls come through DC that play basketball with any height very often at all. I mean you can try to improve post play as much as you can, but when someone is a good deal taller, there's only so much you can do.
