DeKalb Co Girls Basketball

Their pressure was VERY tight. We had lots of turnovers. You could definitely tell they were the first decent team we had played. The girls will adjust though, hopefully. We have lots of talent.

Friday will be a big game for both teams. 1st district game alot at stake early in the season. Handling pressure has always been a key for Lady Tigers success.

York lost some guards, but brought back some reserves to fill those spots. If DC can find a way to guard Wright, they have a chance. I feel like she will be the difference in this game...

I expected to lose by alot more than 3 to Siegel. We are looking better. But we won't see how we stack up with district play until Friday.

We actually had several chances to beat siegel. Our girls just weren't used to the pressure, nor were they used to having to play D for a full 32 minutes...hopefully the loss will help focus them for district play.

Dont think we are in shape at all. Word around is practices arent very demanding or hard.

Anyone will tell you they don't run that much. Not that much of a secret lol. Despite that, our shooting/offense has improved tenfold from what it was under past coaches.

People talk alot its no secret. In our district u better be in great shape. Cope is a friend more than a coach to most player's. That is public sentiment.

Dekalb needs a huge win vs York. DeKalb is better, but depends on our coaching and im not sure on that. DC by a little.

What about the transfer from C-Range, what position does she play? She could be problem as well. I do still feel as though we have a very good chance at winning if we contain Wright.

 

Also, to whomever is saying that I "better stop" posting here: Get over it. I'm not going to stop. I haven't bad mouthed ANYONE on here. I come here to discuss basketball and to discuss my (VERY legitimate) concerns with the team. It's not about YOU, it's about the kids. 49-42 York. I was proud of the girls for battling back to make it a game despite a rough first quarter.
