I hardly see SC as the favorite after losing those 5 productive seniors last year. MCM or DC are by far the favorites I believe. MCM didn't lose a soul and I bet the AD added a few pieces from nearby Ruth. Co. schools. I also think Upperman could make a case. They didn't lose many.

 

My prediction:

1. Central Magnet

2. Dekalb

3. Upperman

4. Smith

5. Livingston

6. Cannon

7. York

IMO, MC and DC will fight for the top spot, but MC will probably end up taking it. They just bring so much back it would be hard to overcome it.

 

Upperman and Smith is a toss up for third or could try to make a case for second.

Coach odom is a great coach. Stats don't lie BUT I would like to see them play tougher teams. I'm going to say central wins it this year and Livingston and DeKalb are fighting for second..Howells out for the year? I doubt it. He supposably broke his wrist during basketball and was back in 2 weeks. He doesn't make tht big of a difference in baseball. As long as DC has Puckett an graham they will be just fine. Hope DC makes another run to the state though!

Howell has a bad ankle injury... Graham pitched yesterday did awesome against gordonsville. Our district is kinda like the sec in football..... playing district games is tough enough nothing wrong with a few cupcakes here and there. Odom is a great coach and this years team will surprise you.

Any news or updates on district? For some reason DC's schedule on coacht doesn't have any games hardly. So far DC beat Gordonsville 15-0, and 8-0. Beat Lancaster Academy 5-1. Cody Puckett hasn't played yet. He was suspended the first three games this season due to actions at the end of last year.

 

Hunter Graham is having a great year already. Pitching and hitting both. So far in the games against Gville he has: a home run, single, and grand slam with 7 RBI and against Lancaster: double, homerun, and 3 RBI.

Dekalb Beat Livingston 3-0. Puckett threw a 1 hit shutout!! Game 2 of a double header getting ready to start.

Won the second game 18-11! Had a 11 run 5th inning. Crazy game, Play Saturday at home against Grundy county @ 1.

Saw on the score board that Smith County and Cannon County spilt with Smith County winning the first game 3 to 2 and Cannon Conunty taking the second game 2 to 1. Centerl and York are making there game up today with DH at Corner Stone in Baxter

Central beat York in the double header 15-0 and 5-2, first game was really ugly. York could not field anything, had to have at least 10 errors.

To be so good Dekalb plays nobody. I wish Odom would resign and Coach Webb take over. Alot of good kids won't play. Heard today Howell is out for the year. Who knows.

 

You saying there's not "good" kids on the baseball team? In my opinion there's some "good" kids that don't want to play basketball because of Martin, should he step aside and let Agee take over?
