Baggage or no baggage, smokin Joe would be a homerun. He will try to hire his boy Grey just like he did the last two times but surely it will not happen. At least I hope not.........

Your post is correct on ALL points, and your hope is my hope. I just wonder what Smokin Joe is thinking. Would he consider this if he gets a call? I have my doubts but I sure want to know.

I don't know who they will get to be the next coach, but, the bigger problem at Oak Ridge is Mullins, and has been for some time. I really don't see that changing, which is a shame for the program. There are plenty of quality coaches who would love to come to Oak Risdge, lets hope they get the chance.

He will try to hire a guy who is no smarter than himself, no more charismatic than himself, no more personable than himself, and no more capable than himself to turn the community on to football like the old days.................which leaves only one guy.............the guy he has tried to hire every time the job opens up. If the football fans of OR, and I know you're out there, don't unite to pressure the administration to hire a guy who can energize this community and get this program back like we want it, then it WILL NOT HAPPEN!

Ridgerunner91 you got me all wrong, I hold no grudge against Joe , would love to see him back but unless he is officially asked by the school board don't look for Joe to come marching home.

 

I understand what you're saying. I don't know who would do the asking but I agree that someone would have to ask officially. I'm like you in that I'm not quite sure why he would want to come back, but I sure hope someone asks, and I sure hope he comes back.

      Football and basketball coaches should not be making 100,000 not teaching any classes unless their winning state championship every year lol

      Im sure Nick Saban didnt have the final say at Alabama! That was not one of your brightest statements. How can you be that uneducated about football and blog about football? Its fair to name people who get arrested, its part of the consequences of their dumb mistakes as adults. You talk mess about the satterfields for way less. Are you that guys lawyer? I have never seen somebody defend someone so hard for something that could have been catastrophic.
