Nah...he was offered a job by his friend Pemberton. That's a stretch to say he would have come. He turned Pemberton down before he bolted for Brentwood. Macon came calling again when Pemberton left. He turned that down too. I think that says a lil something...don't it?

Maynord went so far as to come up to Macon and have dinner with our coaches and quarterback club, so he was more interested than you want to admit. From what I gather, Maynord was MUCH more interested in what Macon had to pitch compared to Creasy's complete lack of interest in the Carthrage job. What does that say? Gary Rankin also came to Lebanon the Friday morning after Alcoa beat CAK in the last Thursday game of the season. He had lunch with a big shot in Lebanon that day too. Does that mean that Rankin was "crazy" about Lebanon too?

Sounds to me like he wanted to get a free meal, paid for by the fine residents of Macon County. I think Creasy wouldn't mind a free meal, if SC footed the bill. We're just not stupid enough to feed him for nothing..... lol

Wreckon how many Team National members he recruited in Macon Co while he ate that free dinner. I'm sure Maynord learned from his buddy Pemberton how to sucker a Maconite or two dont you Termite? The more he acted interested in the Tigers the more Team National Members he was able to sucker. You gotta hand it to Maynord, he's pretty sharp. I'm sure Pemberton told Maynord it was as easy as taking candy from a baby. Except it was money from a tobacco farmer. I hear theres a way you can buy cheap tobacco sticks if you have a Team National card membership.
