What are you talking about?

I am just guessing but i would imagine that MC didn't pitch their Ace yesterday vs Harpeth and he feels if they had they would have won. I feel Camden has 3 aces with kids that could be not even getting a chance so I don't worry about such things. It is Baseball and anything can happen.

Sometimes the stars just align for you.....Harpeth had 9 errors and still managed to win. It was an exciting game with lots of lead changes and a few clutch plays. Camden hit one in the bottom of the 7th with one on that clears the fence anywhere but CF, almost had a walk off. Buma pitched a great game and Burger once again closes it out. Indians are getting it done and finding a way to win, both Camden and MC are very good teams.

Yep. I heard MC threw off against Harpeth and now they are playing for their post season lives in the losers bracket game. You gotta win the first one. Well until you get to the stupid seeding game, but that's later on down the line. Every other game in post season means something and you need to win the one in front of you.

I'll be the first one to criticize the way we do post season in Tennessee, but the methodology is to ride your big arm as far as he will take you. If you have 2, you can lean on #2 some more. If you throw off in the game in front of you, you're risking not playing anymore. It's all about pitching in the post season. It's rare anybody has more than 2 arms that they can ride against competitive teams. They are pitching by committee, relying on their sticks or small ball or whatever to survive a game here and there but they put their stud on the bump when they are trying to win. I think Limbaugh has the pitch counts for some of those guys that won state through the years. It's almost criminal.

Hats off to Harpeth. They have been a Jeckyll and Hyde team all year. I remember the year Central beat them 1-0 or 2-1 or something like that the year after Frasier left when they had all those college signees. It is baseball and anything can happen. It's also a game of odds and matchups.

I'm not sure I would say Central threw off against Harpeth as didn't they pitch Johansen on Monday? He beat Harpeth 16-4 the week before and has been their Monday starter all year. If they didn't pitch Johansen or Drudy then not a smart decision. But Drudy pitched last night againt Waverly and today against Camden. So I believe Johansen started and I wouldn't consider that throwing off.

As for Harpeth they get Central tomorrow in the Championship. They should be in a better position than Central pitching wise. Harpeth is playing much better here the past week or so. Good luck to both teams tomorrow.

P.S,

How mad are the Harpeth folks at Coach Walls now? He has you playing for the District Championship and in the Region, pretty decent year!

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
